How GridWatcher Grades
Opacity is a grade — not a gap we hide.
We take no political side. A project is transparent or it isn’t; a state lets the public see what’s being built on its grid, or it doesn’t. GridWatcher measures that — it doesn’t argue it.

A-Eligible on Disclosure
enough pillars disclosed to earn a top grade — if the record supports it.
Why no A’s yet — and why that’s the point.
Each project is graded on up to 8 public-record pillars: grid, energy, water, environment, economic, governance, jobs, and sovereignty. When a pillar has no public data, it scores “Insufficient Disclosure” — honestly dark, never invented. A project can only reach an A when enough pillars are disclosed AND the disclosed record is strong. Today the strongest project scores in the B range: the data centers we grade are being built faster than they’re being disclosed. That gap is the finding.
